Obituary for Marion E Young (McCausland)
Marion Elizabeth McCausland Young, 91, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. She was born in Camden, New Jersey on May 20, 1926 and was the last remaining member of her birth family.
Marion was able to remain healthy and independent throughout her entire life. In her early years, she was a Bookkeeper, Member of the Women’s Army Corps during World War II, a real estate agent, and a dedicated homemaker.
Marion loved her home and neighbors in the Chelmsford area. She enjoyed her friendships and poetry readings at the Chelmsford Garden Club. She was active at St. Irene’s Church. She was a talented cook and painter. She loved Pendelton wool suits and was always neatly dressed. She had many friends who celebrated birthdays together.
She is survived by her four children, Susan E. Young of London, England, Ronald W. Young of Florida, Karen M. Young and her husband Edward S. Goldman of Connecticut, and Mark A. Young and his wife Sheri of Connecticut. Marion is survived by four grandchildren, Roxann Young, Diana Goldman, Jared Young, and Adam Young and great grandson Dominic Harding-Edgar.
Marion was the spouse of the late Ronald B. Young for 63 years, the mother of the late Brian Joseph Young, the grandmother of the late Sarah Margaret Goldman, and mother-in-law of the late Jeremy Harding-Edgar.
She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday March 6th, from 4 until 6:30 PM at BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, Chelmsford. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 7th, 2018 at 10 AM in St. Irene Church, Carlisle. Interment will be held privately. Donations may be made in Marion’s name to St. Irene Church Fund, 181 East Street, Carlisle, MA 01741.
