Dear Mrs. Krishnan I am shocked and grief stricken to learn of Professor Krishnan' death. Please accept my profound sorrow and condolences for you and your family. He is my great friend and greatly contributed to my Encyclopedia of Statistics. We have exchanged hundreds of emails and he invited me and my family many times to visit him and you. Professor Krishnan was also my referee. Furthermore, he recorded a short movie that was presented here in Serbia at the University of Kragujevac, and also at the University of Banja Luka in Bosnia. His video was seen by the President of the Republic of Srpska and many ministers that attended the promotion of Encyclopedia in April 2011. I haven't heard anything from him during first six months in 2016 so I became extremely worried. Finally, he wrote me a short email and told me that he was ill. Words cannot express my deepest sadness. This planet has lost one of the kindest persons that were ever walking on it. I am proud and honored to call Professor Krishnan one of my best friends, He will always be a part of my thinking and my soul. With best regards Miodrag Lovric
